How to assign the Invitations Manager role to an existing user

The Invitations Manager role can be assigned to existing users in addition to their Collaborate role. A user with this role can invite other users directly to projects without involving a platform administrator — this speeds up onboarding by letting designated team members manage project invitations directly, without waiting on an administrator.

Note: Invitations Managers can only invite users to specific projects and cannot manage access across the platform.

Assign the role

Log in to Cobuilder Platform, then go to Team members under Company management tools.

Find the user you want to update by searching the list, then click the three dots to the right of the user and select User details.

Under Platform role, select Invitations Manager and click Save to confirm the change.

Note: Platform role is mutually exclusive. If the user currently has Platform administrator or Platform user, that role is removed when you assign Invitations Manager. Their role within Cobuilder Collaborate itself (e.g. Company admin) isn’t affected.

✓ The user now has the Invitations Manager role and can invite other users directly into the projects they have access to.
